Just what I asked for....

Merry Christmas! Each of us is different in what we ask for, what fills our heart or needs for the holiday. For me it is a time that my family comes together. Nothing makes me happier than when my house is full with family and friends. Carl and Cierra will be joining our family "offically" in 2012 and this is, I guess, our first family photo. Now, given that this is Christmas morning, Dallas and I have had only a couple hours of sleep and Aaron is wearing a skeleton shirt, this will not make it on the wall in an 8x10 glossy, but it is a picture that I will cherish. So, this is the picture of my Merry Christmas.

TEAM EDWARDS ROCKS!!

SATURDAY WAS AN UNBEATABLE DAY!

Saturday was Derby Day for the Scouts in Amelia County. It was our first time at the Derby. Aaron and his Dad cut, sanded, painted and adjusted for weeks. It seemed like each night they would plan or work on this car. It turned out to be a Red Rocket. #7 was unbeatable on Saturday. Dee and Pop were much needed support. Way to Go Guys! I am proud of you!

Aaron was awarded "Fastest Car Sitting Still".
He won 1st place for the Bears Division
and then raced in the finals and won 1st overall.

Busy ~ Busy ~ Busy

Aaron and Dallas have been busy lately. Aaron joined the Scouts last fall and now that Spring is here, they have been working hard on their Father-Son projects. First was the Blue and Gold Banquet and the Annual Cake Bake and Auction. I am proud to report that my guys took one of the first place spots for their cake. They proved to be Most Scout Like. There were lots of great cakes. All were auctioned off and proceeds went to support our troop.

Next is the Pinewood Derby. Man~I had no idea how serious this thing is. Let's hope that their efforts pay off. Our block of wood has been designed, cutout, sanded and painted. We are a few weeks out from the race. Wish us luck!
