The girls now have red combs on their heads except for our white headed Belle.
We are just shy of our 20 week mark with our chickens. The girls have settled into their coop, the Taj-Ma-Hen, and should be laying eggs soon. Dallas is finishing up the coop with our nesting boxes and final painting. It looks great! He was so mad at me for bringing these birds home, and now he is like the chicken whisperer. The Beeches, as he refers to them, follow him around the yard and even squawk at him if he is not paying attention to them. He is partial to one of the Rhode Island Reds, he has named RED. Aaron is holding her in this last picture. She likes to take a ride on your arm and will run to you if you come outside. We all really like our pet chickens.
